Worship even in the darkest

Hello everyone, today marks Day 1 of Week 4 in Finding Joy. Can you believe this is the last week on this Bible Study? How amazing is it to know Joy can change your whole outlook on things?

We have learned quite a bit in this study, Learning how to Seek The Lord, Resting in Him, Learning to Trust Our Lord, We must retrain our minds to His Truth, Serving Others with a Grateful and Joyful Heart, Be thankful in all circumstances even in storms and Now we are learning to Worship.

Do you know the meaning of worship? Worship is showing your love you have for God. Oh he loves when we worship, it makes him so happy to know we love him with all our heart. When you begin to hear a Christian Song playing, does your heart just focus on him? Do those words sink in yourself? I know it happens to me, when I begin to hear a song oh my goodness I begin to shout and sometimes I even begin to sing along (even if my tune isn’t right haha) Read this verse:

“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;” -Psalm 98:4

There is plenty of worship songs, try searching in google and a whole list will pop up. Or try getting on Pandora, this is what I do, make a Worship station, play the music while washing dishes, driving, showering whatever it is your doing listen to it, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you.

Have you read Psalm 100? Well this is where we are beginning…

“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise him name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” -Psalm 100

Reread this verse, highlight this verse, memorize it. This is such a wonderful beautiful verse when you dig deep into it. This verse isn’t saying to worship or sing in a angry mood, no we must worship with gladness. How do we do that? First you must pray, ask the Lord to clean out what needs to be cleaned out. Ask him to enter in your home, your area your at and help you. Then begin to put JOYFUL songs, meaning worship songs. When we put worship songs our hands begin to lift up, our heart begins to be happy, our Father is dancing up in heaven cheering you on and this is when joy enters in. The situation your in, fighting, is no longer the center of attention. Instead Our Father takes it and replaces it with his Joy so we no longer focus on the bad we focus on Him.

We must focus on the Lord, we must keep our eyes on Him not our temporary things down here, earth. Worship is very beautiful when we begin to let our troubles go, hand it to our Father and having Joy in our lives.

Today I challenge you to make a pandora station, Worship Station, or get on youtube and search worship music. Take 15 minutes today and listen to the music. don’t just listen but listen deeply, hear the words and allow the words to sink in. Let it all out to The Lord, cry it all out to Him, leave it on his hands so he may take care of it, then sing with a happy heart. You will then feel this shine on you, this light, this burden lifted off you will begin to feel so joyful you will want to share with others. You may also want to jump up and down and just lift your hands up and thats completely okay also.

The only studying I would like for you to do today is read and study Psalm 100. Then take the challenge to apply Worship music at least 15 minutes out of your day for 2 whole weeks, 14 days! Then begin to see how it can change everything around you.

Worship, showing love to Our Father by music and prayer!
