Never Stop Growing

When I was young I did not like reading. It was so boring and honestly I didn’t have time to read. I was always on the go with band, with sports, with friends, with life in general. But as I got older I began looking at books thinking “hmm maybe I should give it a try.” It wasn’t until I opened my Bible and began reading a little at a time. It was then, when I fell in love with reading.
Yes it sure is hard to read with 3 kids all running around wanting my attention but I try and get my reading in when they either nap, or even at night when everything is calm. Before I use to let reading get in the way of family time. I couldn’t put books down I just wanted to continue to read.. until I decided to switch a few things.
See Reading is great. It helps you to grow, we can never stop growing. We must NEVER stop growing.

I had a few books I wanted to read this year that was laid out and picked out already, then He laid a few new more. I was going to reread a few books but in every season is a new season which means growth. You may be needing to grow in Faith, In Trust, Freedom from Bondage, maybe its growth within yourself remembering who you are and finding yourself again. These books are what I have for this year. Which I actually plan to read before September when our next little one is due. I know I probably would be very busy sleeping or attending to a new little one along with the 3 kids who need this mama. The books that were laid on my heart I will share the description about them.

We all women compare ourselves either “why her?” or “why not me?” This study goes deeper into scripture in the Old Testament story of Rachel and Leah.

I have so much reading to do, but before I do I want you know to know, Never Stop Growing! We can never have grown to much. Whether its through our health and wellness, our family, the Word with the Lord or within ourselves. Growing is beautiful, it changes us in ways you wouldn’t imagine. I want to grow in leadership for my team members, grow in motherhood, grow in Christ, grow in marriage life and so forth. I cant grow if I stop where I am at. And neither can you. If you have a hard time not falling asleep like how I use to be when reading, if you just get bored, grab you a glass of water with ice and some Lemon oil (this helps this mama a ton) and diffuse some Young Living White Angelica with Clarity oil to help awaken the mind. Sit and relax and begin. Even if its 2-3 pages a day that is a great goal to have! Read at the best time for you whether its when the kids are napping, playing outside and you enjoying the beautiful air, or even if its in the school line (because we all know how packed and crazy that line is). No matter where, find a place, find a time that works for YOU and begin growing.

NEVER STOP GROWING

Seriously? Who knew?!

I love the rainy weather. It makes me curl up on the couch, grab my book and start reading. I love having the door open when the rain just pours. Isn’t it lovely? I wanted to share something that had helped my girls in so many ways. It started with the essential oils that we bought, gosh how I will never forget that day. My little ones had respiratory problems and we needed some sort of support for them.

thieves-household-cleaner-with-lemons

So not only has essential oils helped us, but when we made the switch to Thieves Household Cleaner, oh my gosh it surely helped more than you’ll know. I honestly didn’t think such a small thing, switch, could make some great changes. As I learned about the cleaners we did have, how it effected their respiratory and how it did more harm than good, I began grabbing that big trash bag and throwing it all away. My husband freaked out, I even freaked out myself on what I was doing. But I wanted to better our health, my girls health at that. I only had My oldest and middle one at the time when I began ditching and switching.

I love how I can clean EVERYTHING with this one bottle. I’m laughing right now remembering when I get the box on my front door opening it up and seeing all my oils I got and other things then I pull this bottle and think, “oh my gosh this is not that big, I will finish this as much as I clean my house.” But little did I know its so potent, its so concentrated that it takes very little to be used. I distill it by using 1/2 half a capful into a glass spray bottle and fill the rest with water. Sometimes I use 1/4 capful just depending on what I am using it for. I can make 22 bottles of this one bottle making it $1 per bottle OH MY!!! And it lasts us 6 months or more… the longest it lasted us was 8 months. WOW! And I clean a lot, probably more than I should ha!

So what do I clean this with? Well… EVERYTHING… my kids toys, my granite countertops, I even mop with this. I clean my windows, the inside of my car, the bathrooms, I mean the list goes on and on. I noticed since using this cleaner and not the bleach, lysol, or even Clorox wipes, I noticed a huge change in my girls respiratory. Including mine. Heck, I don’t even cough like before when I used all those other cleaners. I really felt like I was dying and choking cause the fumes, the smells…. but this one smells like Christmas. I love it. When my husband and I noticed how our girls respiratory was much more calm, we were amazed and yet shocked! Not only are we thankful that this cleaner helped, but we are also thankful to see the label doesn’t say “contact poison control if swallowed”

Have you gone through your cabinets and seen the labels? Have you read the ingredients and researched “dangers of ______” whatever the words are. I challenge you today friend, to go through your cabinets, go through your medicine cabinets, make a check list of what your wanting to conquer out of your health and lets get to it!

Switching to this cleaner 2.5 years ago was another amazing decision we made. If you have never tried this cleaner, or even essential oils at that, girl what are you waiting for? We need to chat. You can even learn more just by clicking essential oils above on the tab or by clicking here. This has been the best journey yet, and that isn’t even all of our stories. 🙂

Where It Began….

IMG_6242

It all got started 3.5 years ago, a little over 3.5 years. Our second child, who was 1 at the time and is now about to be 5-oh where did the time go-our journey began with her. Gosh can I just say how crazy our life was before we began this journey with essential oils. I mean for real. Earaches after earaches, our oldest kept catching pneumonia back to back and our second child kept catching RSV back to back along with bronchitis. I mean how awful is that. Dr’s told us once you catch pneumonia, once you catch RSV its always going to come back because your system has weakened and its much easier to be sick. Thank the Lord for these oils though because they truly helped us in all sort of ways.

See, when I began I never even heard of these. I never saw them, never knew what she (a friend of mine) was talking about. When our Aubrey became so helpless that year I was searching for answers. For help. Do you know how many times I’ve made trips to the ER because of their respiratory? My goodness those bills that we are finally paying off… for real. It was crazy. When that night I was about to rush her to the ER once again because her breathing was just AWFUL. Caving in, sinking in, congestion in the nose, rattling in the chest, you could see the breathing in her rib cage… gosh makes me want to cry in gratitude now because we have not had one of these incidents since we began our journey. Ya’ll it was horrifying. As a mother you wish you could take the place of what they are going through. You know? Don’t you ever tell them, “aww my baby I wish I could be sick for you I don’t like seeing you this way..” or maybe it was just me saying that.

Before I headed to the ER I posted on Facebook asking for prayers because it wasn’t looking good. My friend reached out to me… in private message… and mentioned of her praying for us. But then she shared her story which was so almost the same as what we were battling with. I couldn’t help but cling to her story. She asked if I’d like to go over to her home, have her pray over our daughter and apply oils. At first I thought, “what? what are they? how will they even work if its been a month of my daughter being on steroids and antibiotics with no improvements… how can that help?” But something about that just tugged my weary heart. I went ahead and told her yes we’d love to.

As we were headed towards her house I remember praying and asking the Lord for healing and help. For guidance and for strength because as a mom who has dealt with her daughter sick for a month now… no sleep… no improvements… just seeing her daughter helpless hurt this mama. It did. As we parked, we entered in the house. Ya’ll once the door opened I immediately smelled the oils. They smelled so heavenly. God sent. Just uplifting. I needed it. It was like the weariness just fell….

We began sitting in the living room, she had my daughter next to that diffuser (which I had no clue what that thing was at the time) began praying over her and applying essential oils on her. I just sat and watched. Of course my little one was crying but once they applied them on her chest and by the ears and back it was like immediate calmness and she was quiet. WOW! But that wasn’t it… I began asking what they were and very quickly, maybe within 5 minutes she told me. She told me let her know if I needed anything else and handed me a little bottle to continue to apply throughout the night. As we were getting buckled in the car, from her house to mine which is literally 15 minutes, I saw her sleeping the whole time AND no rattling, no wheezing, no congestion just pure silence of a sleeping baby who has not slept in days, a month! We got home, I put her in the bouncer rocking chair that sits up and she stayed that way for a while. She slept so peacefully. She only woke up maybe once that night so I can apply those oils and that was it. I was astonished. Of course I still didn’t sleep cause you know, when your little one doesn’t wake up it kind of makes you get up and check on them what seems like every 15 minutes….

The next morning she smiled. She seemed so happy. Still no wheezing, no coughing, no congestion, no rattling in that tiny little chest. We took her to the dr appointment she had and well even her dr was astonished. Amazed and just in awe!

I praise the Lord for this journey. I praise the Lord for his tools he gave us to help our bodies, our children, our spouse and everyone we meet. “Bloom Where I Planted You….”

Texas weather is the strangest weather. Yesterday was bright and sunny, nice and warm. It was a beautiful day to be outside mess with my garden, just enjoying the flowers and veggies that is growing. While today on this Saturday, its cloudy and cold! A 20 degree difference in just a day difference. Gotta thank Texas weather for that.

I was quite surprised I woke up early this morning since the past 3 nights our youngest did not want to sleep. I ended up praying over her and lathering her up with our essential oils (while praying of course), speaking life into her little life. Though she may be little she still needs to have LIFE spoken into her. I prayed over my home and asked the Lord for His peace for tonight and for a night of full rest. And you guys we had a full night of rest. HALLELUJAH THANK YOU LORD! I felt well rested. I knew this was a perfect time to spend with the Lord this morning before the rest of the household woke up. Don’t get me wrong, Its ok to spend time with the Lord when everyone is awake, but I felt a tug, a need, a desire and longing for me and Him ALONE. And quite honestly after this morning, I am so glad I was obedient enough to listen and spend time with him alone.

Let me grab my cinnamon coffee real quick because its just so delicious! I’m going to be real with y’all. And honestly this is hard for me to share, but I feel the need to. But this morning, something the Lord said just hit hard early this morning. Maybe you need to hear it too or someone you know needs it. Ive heard a lot this morning………”Pray for your enemies.” I admit, I have prayed for them before. But…. the difference was it wasn’t wholeheartedly. I know right, OUCH! And I’m being honest y’all. I didn’t even realize I wasn’t praying for them wholeheartedly. I didn’t know how to pray for them. I couldn’t bring myself to it to pray for them, and thats honesty. I had to surrender myself to the Lord and ask for His strength & help. [Psalm 28:7]. I didn’t want anything bad happening to my enemies but I couldn’t bring myself to pray “correctly” for them… I just sat in my chair, took a sip of my coffee, then stayed quiet while sitting in His presence. I asked to be different, changed in a whole new way, a change that only He could do, to LOVE because if I have faith but don’t love I am nothing. [1 Corinthians 13:2]. To be forgiven and to forgive just as Christ has forgave me. [Matthew 6:14-15, Colossians 3:13]. Then a ugly cry came along. The ugliest cry you can ever cry. You know what kind of cry I’m talking about. The snotty, ugly face, tears streaming down your face thats unstoppable….. But once I lifted my hands to the Lord and released them to Him, released myself to Him and to do His Will, when I surrendered and let Him do his job without ME trying to fix things it felt great! I felt relief! A burden lifted off my shoulders. See, I never wanted harm for my enemies, I just couldn’t bring myself to pray for them day after day they would hurt, lie, bash or even just be ugly towards me. They wanted to harm me, harm me in ways that would bring me so down to the level of darkness but God said no! I am a child of God, I am a child in the light and I must surrender fully, no matter the cost, just to be free from bondage of not praying for my enemies. I released them to the Lord, I asked that light be birthed in them somehow through someone. That salvation will come to them, that they will find the Lord and want the Lord everyday so they too can be saved.

We have to surrender and let go. We can’t fix these things, only He can. When we surrender ourselves and our enemies, when we open our heart wholeheartedly, things will begin to shift. We become Different. We are being Changed. We become more like Him.

This rose, the one rose that quickly fully bloomed on my rose bush, “Bloom where I planted you. Remain in me continually and I’ll continue to prune.” This is what was said and now I see my rose in a total different way. The sweet and spicy smell this unique rose has is something I’m being reminded of from the Lord. Sweet smell from the Lord, the Lords sweet aroma. Oh so beautiful y’all. So beautiful. His presence is overwhelming right now, I’m just in awe! As long as I remain in Him, everyday, I can look forward to his pruning, to his presence, to his guidance, his strength, his correction and his wisdom I need everyday. You guys, His mercy is great! He delights in showing mercy to us. Mercy triumphs judgment. [James 2:13]. I played this song, and it spoke to my heart. Maybe it will to you too.

No matter where you are at in life, no matter how your past looks, no matter what your enemies done to you, give grace. Surrender. Pray for them in ways that blows your mind.  That freaks you out because you prayed for them in that kind of way. I promise, when you pray for them in great blessing ways, your heart will feel joyful, lifted high, and released from weight that you’ve been carrying. If you are in need of prayer I’d be glad to pray for you. If you are wanting to know the Lord, I’d be more than happy to speak with you.

May your day be filled with His abounding love.

We Found Something Better

Yesterday my oldest daughter came home in such a great mood. She was able to go onto the next level of reading. She couldn’t have been more filled with joy at that moment.

When she walked in the house, she gave me a letter. I wondered what it was. I saw one of them was a fundraiser. Fundraisers are fun, sometimes. But the other letter was bright yellow making it stand out. As I read it, it mentioned how kids attended school were in contact with the flu. You’re kidding me right?! Seriously! Well I made sure my oldest soaked up with more oils. It didn’t occur to me the germs can and will spread to us.

My little baby, 16months old, ended up feeling under the weather last night. My poor baby 😦 Doesn’t it break your heart when you see little ones, your little ones, just not themselves? My baby wanted cuddles and me right there. She was hot, then cold, then just trying so hard to smile and laugh. Bed time came and I knew I better get into bed early because it was going to be a long night.
IMG_5039Honestly I am so grateful to have Young Living essential oils. Before we started oils, gosh we were constantly in the ER, the clinic or the Dr’s office. They prolly all already knew me. Goodness. Bills piled up, unpaid medical bills because well we always went. It wasn’t fun it was awful. I brought out the oils and laid them on my desk next to our bed. I made sure she co-slept with me to keep a close eye on her. Every 20 minutes I applied our oils on her. We diffused to help release them into the air helping us more.

I ditched the candles two years ago. When I found out what it does to your body oh my gosh yall I threw them all and never looked back. Anywho, so we applied these to our little one all night long and she woke up happy, smiling, playing. She is a little under the weather still but she’s far better than last night. Plenty of rest, fluids and oils today. She’s much better than last night, thank you LORD!! Lots of prayers and anointing with oils to help this family.

See we began our oil journey when our middle daughter became ill. You an read our story here. That was 3.5 years ago. Wow how time flies! Im laughing right now thinking of how I thought at that time. I was such a skeptic. Man I bit my own tongue thats for sure!

We used young living’s essential oils. This is the only company I trust and know what goes into those sweet little bottles. Are you curious to know more about oils? Head on over to Essential Oils tab learn more about young living! If you have questions feel free to comment or contact me and I’d be glad to help 🙂

This flu season is no joke. Stay well friends. Get oils and stay #oiledup because yall this season isn’t over yet. Gosh! Can it hurry and be over now? Like today?!

Jesus. Laundry. Oils

20882146_770480753112996_9088907832805786603_nWhat a day it is already! Laundry for days it seems. 3 kiddos and laundry gets piled up like crazy. Our 4 year old loves to change like every second, so what is dirty? I have no clue.

One thing I am so grateful for is Lavender essential oil.  We began Young Living a few years ago but I never thought I’d be finding new ways of how to use the essential oils. I had seen wonderful changes that began with our family, from emotions, to focus during school, to wellness throughout all the seasons of the year to even cleaning our home!

While doing laundry sorting out what is dirty and clean (you know my 4 year old daughters clothing lot) I began seeing Jesus’ teaching. He was showing me a few things in my life that was “dirty” and needing sorting and removing. Doing laundry some stains come out while some stay. This is what Jesus was showing me, some hurts stayed in me while some left and allowed Jesus to heal those hurts. We can’t expect to help others when ourself isn’t completely fixed. We must allow Jesus to help us, fix us, renew us so we can help others. Cleaning the laundry sure can allow Jesus to speak into our lives. Sort the dirtiness in our lives, the ugliness, and the stains so we can allow Jesus to do what He needs to in us. Romans 12:2; Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

I recently switched those dryer sheets and started using Wool Dryer Balls and oh my goodness I have no clue why I didn’t do this long ago. We have 3 wool dryer balls, the third one is somewhere in the pile ha! But all I did was add 4 drops to each dryer ball and add them in the dryers. When you open the dryer oh you can smell the beautiful scent of Lavender. It truly is a beautiful smell. No static, no muggy smell or no heavy perfume smell just pure natural plant based oil.

Gosh, our littlest one, who will be 1 very shortly, (where has the time gone) has sensitive skin so I have to be cautious with what to apply. As I began switching to Young Living’s Thieves Detergent and Lavender dryer wool balls I have seen a huge change in all of us. Our skin is great! No more itchiness.

Did you know lavender is a great oil for babies and even for fur babies? Our dog surely loves lavender baths. He sits there ready for his bath. His skin has improved as well.

You should definitely try this! Ditch the toxins and make the switch. 🙂

A mom who got exploded on!

Wow! This New Year sure was hilarious and made me remember how babies sure can do an explosion!

We spent the New Year with my in laws, we got there and I immediately began drinking coke. Which was a awful decision by the way! I drank the cokes like I’ve never had one before, I have it’s just been a few years. You see I would get very sick before from drinking Dr. Pepper, I was 16 years old when I went to the ER because of this horrible side pain. Come to find out caffeine don’t do so well with me. Dr. Pepper was my BFF! Literally! I would drink it all day from the moment I woke up to the moment I shut my eyes.

Do you ever wake up at night so thirsty wanting water? Oh gosh I do! Now I drink tons of water but before I would get up when I needed a drink at night, and grab a Dr. Pepper. How awful right?

So when I drank those cokes I was drinking them like a Dr. Pepper, just for that day. But when I did my little one, who I currently breastfeed, began to have tummy problems. She had this awful discomfort and this cry, I began to cry seeing her in pain. I felt horrible. So I began drinking water and immediately grabbed my Young Living Essential Oil. Tummy. All this is is a mixture of young livings v-6 oil and DiGize into a roller bottle. I applied it on her tummy and bottoms of her feet.

img_0974

Within minutes her discomfort went to feeling better and well that’s how this momma got an explosion on her! We had to change her diapers three times and her clothing. And me well I was dressed decent for New Years, well that had to be changed because she exploded all over me. I will tell you she felt much better and she was a very happy baby! We love our Young Living essential oils, do you?
